    ജമ്മു കശ്മീരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഷെയ്ഖ് അബ്ദുൾ റഷീദും പഞ്ചാബിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അമൃതപാൽ സിംഗും പുതിയ ലോക്‌സഭയിലെ അംഗങ്ങളായി സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തു. ജയിലിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഇരുവരെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നത്. രാജ്യദ്രോഹക്കുറ്റം ചുമത്തി യുഎപിഎ ചുമത്തിയാണ് ഇവരെ റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. വൻ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിലാണ് ഇരുവരും വിജയിച്ചത്. റാഷിദ് (എൻജിനീയർ റഷീദ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു) 2 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം വോട്ടിൻ്റെ വിജയ ലീഡ് നേടി. അമൃത്പാലിന് രണ്ട് ലക്ഷത്തിൽ ഏതാനും ആയിരങ്ങൾ കുറവായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഖാലിസ്ഥാൻ്റെ കടുത്ത വക്താവാണ്. തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ ജനഹിതത്തിൻ്റെ സൂചകമായി കണക്കാക്കണമെങ്കിൽ ഇരുവർക്കുമെതിരെയുള്ള കേസുകൾ പിൻവലിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലേ?

    Sheikh Abdul Rashid from Jammu Kashmir and Amritpal Singh from Punjab have been sworn in as members of the new Lok Sabha. Both of them were brought from jails. They are remanded under the UAPA, accused of committing seditious acts. Both of them won with massive majorities. Rashid (also known as Engineer Rashid) had a victory lead of more than 2 lakh votes. Amritpal was just a few thousands short of two lakhs. He is a ardent advocate of Khalistan. If elections are to be considered as an indicator of the people’s will shouldn’t the charges against both of them be dismissed?

  • Dangerous Spread of Brahmanisation

    In 2019, for the first time ever, the Left Front fell behind even the BJP in six assembly constituencies in Keralam. It’s clear that a significant portion of Hindu voters who traditionally supported the Left Democratic Front had shifted their allegiance to the BJP. This trend was seen again in 2024. Back then, the BJP had secured the second position in six assembly constituencies. Now, they are in the first position in 11 constituencies and in the second position in eight. This dangerous spread of Brahmanisation extends beyond the upper castes. Big talk about renaissance and secularism, and hollow calls for class unity cannot stop or push back this trend. What is needed are ideological campaigns that aggressively counter Brahmanism, activities that contextualise the message of caste annihilation in the current social and personal realities in sight, and mass movements based on the fundamental and immediate issues faced by the people.

    2019ൽ, മുമ്പൊരിയ്ക്കലും ഉണ്ടാകാത്ത വിധം, 6 അസംബ്ലി നിയോജകമണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ ഇടതു മുന്നണി ബിജെപിയ്ക്കു പോലും പുറകിലായി. പതിവായി ഇടതുപക്ഷ ജനാധിപത്യ മുന്നണിയെ പിന്തുണച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ വിഭാഗം ഹിന്ദു വോട്ടർമാർ ബിജെപി പക്ഷത്തേക്ക് കൂറുമാറി എന്നു വ്യക്തം. അതിന്റെ ആവർത്തനമാണ് 2024ൽ കണ്ടത്. അന്ന് 6 നിയോജകമണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ ബിജെപി രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനത്ത് . ഇപ്പോൾ 11 മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്തും, എട്ടെണ്ണത്തിൽ രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനത്തുമാണ്. ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യവല്ക്കരണത്തിന്റെ അപകടകരമായ ഈ വ്യാപനം സവർണ്ണരെ കവിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു. നവോഥാന, മതേതര ചപ്പടാച്ചികളും വർഗക്കൂറിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പൊള്ളയായ പ്രസംഗങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് ഇതിന് തടയിടാനും പിന്തള്ളാനും കഴിയില്ല. ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യത്തെ കടന്നാക്രമിക്കുന്ന ആശയപ്രചരണം, സാമൂഹ്യവും വ്യക്തിപരവുമായ യഥാർത്ഥ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെ മുൻനിർത്തി ജാതിനശീകരണ സന്ദേശത്തെ സമകാലീനമാക്കുന്ന പ്രചരണവും പ്രവർത്തനവും, ജനങ്ങൾ നേരിടുന്ന മൗലികവും ആനുകാലികവുമായ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളെ മുൻനിർത്തിയുള്ള ബഹുജനപ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങൾ – ഇതാണ് വേണ്ടത്.

Amidst this scenario, the resilience of the revolutionary alternative in central India, despite severe repression, brings hope and inspiration to the people. The strength of this struggle lies in its deep roots among the Adivasls at the grassroots level and its guidance by the world’s most advanced working-class ideology. The new society being formed there is an intolerable threat to the ruling powers. This is why the Modi government, which frequently claims to have eradicated the Maoists, continues to carry out bomb attacks in Chhattisgarh. This is also why all ruling class parties and their media remain silent on this issue. The future of our country lies in this people’s struggle, not in their parliamentary contests.

    ഏറെ ഇളകിമറിയുന്ന, അസ്ഥിരതയുടെ ഒരു കാലം തന്നെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ ഇനി വരാനിരിക്കുന്നതു്. ജനങ്ങളുടെ മേലുള്ള ഭാരം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന, ചൂഷണത്തെ തീവ്രമാക്കുന്ന നയങ്ങളാകും വരുന്നത്. കേന്ദ്രത്തിലായാലും, സംസ്ഥനതലത്തിലായാലും അത് ഉറപ്പാണ്. എതിർപ്പുകളെ അടിച്ചമർത്തുന്നതിലും ഒരു മയവുമുണ്ടാകില്ല. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അങ്ങേയറ്റം നിഷ്ഠൂരമായ അടിച്ചമർത്തലിനെ അതിജീവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു് മധ്യ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വിപ്ലവബദലിന്റെ ദ്രുവം ജ്വലിച്ചു നില്ക്കുന്നതു് ജനങ്ങൾക്കു് പ്രതീക്ഷയും ആവേശവും പകരുന്നു. സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അടിത്തട്ടിലുള്ള, ആദിവാസികൾക്കിടയിലുള്ള വേരുറപ്പും, ലോകത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മുന്നിട്ടുനില്ക്കുന്ന തൊഴിലാളിവർഗ ആശയശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ മാർഗദർശനവും ആണ് ആ പോരാട്ടത്തിന് കരുത്ത്. അവിടെ രൂപംകൊള്ളുന്ന പുതിയ സമൂഹം ഭരണാധികാരികൾക്കു് അസഹനീയമായ ഭീഷണിയാണു്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണു്, മാവോയിസ്റ്റുകളെയെല്ലാം തീർത്തു എന്നു് അടിക്കടി അവകാശപ്പെടുന്ന മോഡീഭരണം ഛട്ടിസ്ഗഢിൽ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ബോംബാക്രമണം നടത്തുന്നതു്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ്, ഇതിനേകുറിച്ച് സകല ഭരണവർഗ പാർട്ടികളും മാധ്യമങ്ങളും മൗനം പാലിക്കുന്നത്. ഇവരുടെയെല്ലാം പാർല്യമെന്ററി മത്സരത്തിലല്ല, ഈ ജനകീയ പോരാട്ടത്തിലാണ് നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാവി.

  • Biden’s peace proposal

    Biden’s proposed cease-fire agreement to end the Gaza war is noteworthy. The position that the war cannot end without the complete elimination of the Palestinian armed resistance, including Hamas, has been dropped. The withdrawal of the Israeli army from the residential areas of Gaza is proposed. The displaced are guaranteed return to the places they were forced to leave. While Israel’s hard-right opposes the proposals, most of the Zionist factions quite influential in the American administration, support it. The rulers of European countries have also supported it.

    What prompted Biden to make such a proposal? Many observers attribute this to fears that his approach on the Gaza war and support for the Zionist regime’s genocide will backfire in the upcoming elections. That surely has played a role. Trump’s support is growing. His conviction has given it a boost. But this is not the only reason.

    Eight months of brutal attacks have failed to destroy the Palestinian resistance. It returns to areas from which the Zionist army withdraws and attacks it. Missiles are fired into Zionist occupied Palestine. Above all, despite the loss of nearly 50,000 lives and the daily inferno, the morale of the Palestinian people has not dimmed. International support is increasing day by day. This is the main factor that motivating Biden’s peace proposals.

    ഗസ്സ യുദ്ധം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാൻ ബൈഡൻ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വെടിനിർത്തൽ കരാർ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. ഹമാസ് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ഫലസ്തീൻ സായുധ ചെറുത്തുനില്പിനെ പൂർണ്ണമായും തുടച്ചുമാറ്റാതെ യുദ്ധം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കില്ല എന്ന നിലപാട് കൈയ്യൊഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഗസ്സയിലെ ജനവാസമേഖലകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഇസ്രേലി സൈന്യത്തിൻ്റെ പിൻമാറ്റം നിർദ്ദേശത്തിലുണ്ട്. ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോകാൻ നിർബന്ധിതമായ ഇടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപോകാൻ ഫലസത്തിനുകൾക്ക് ഉറപ്പുനൽകുന്നുമുണ്ട്. ഇസ്രേലിലെ കടുത്ത വലതുപക്ഷം ഈ നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ ശക്തമായി എതിർക്കുമ്പോൾ, അമേരിക്കൻ ഭരണത്തിൽ ഏറെ സ്വാധീനമുള്ള സയണിസ്റ്റ് സംഘങ്ങളിൽ മിക്കതും അതിനെ പിന്തുണക്കുന്നു. യൂറോപ്പ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ഭരണാധികാരികളും അതിനെ പിന്തുണച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

    എന്താണ് ഇത്തരമൊരു നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകാൻ ബൈഡനെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്? ഗസ്സ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ സ്വീകരിച്ച സമീപനവും സയണിസ്റ്റ് ഭരണകൂടത്തിൻ്റെ നരഹത്യക്ക് നൽകി വരുന്ന പിന്തുണയും വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ തിരിച്ചടിയാകുമെന്ന ആശങ്കയാണ് ഇതിന് കാരണമായി പല നിരീക്ഷകരും പറയുന്നത്. അതിൽ കുറച്ച് കാര്യമുണ്ട്. ട്രംപിൻ്റെ പിന്തുണ വർദ്ധിക്കുകയാണ്. കുറ്റവാളിയാണെന്ന വിധി അതിനെ ഒന്നുകൂടി ഉത്തേജിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇതു മാത്രമല്ല കാരണം.

    8 മാസത്തോളം നടത്തിയ നിഷ്ഠൂര ആക്രമണത്തിന് ഫലസ്‌ത്തീൻ ചെറുത്തുനില്പനെ നശിപ്പിക്കാനായില്ല. സയണിസ്റ്റ് പട്ടാളം പിന്മാറുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് അത് മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്നു. സയണിസ്റ്റ് പട്ടാളത്തെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു. സയണിസ്റ്റ് അധീന ഫലസ്ത്തീനിലേക്ക് മിസൈലുകൾ തൊടുത്തുവിടുന്നു. സർവ്വോപരി, കെട്ടിടാവശിഷ്ടങ്ങൾ ക്കടയിൽ കിടക്കുന്നതുൾപ്പടെ ഏതാണ്ട് 50000ത്തിലധികം ജീവനുകൾ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും, ദിനംപ്രതി നരകയാതന അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടും, ഫലസ്ത്തീൻ ജനതയുടെ മനോവീര്യം ഒട്ടും മങ്ങയിട്ടില്ല. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പിന്തുണ നാൾക്കുനാൾ വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നു. ഇതാണ് ബൈഡനെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ച പ്രധാന ഘടകം.

  • The saffron-praise of ‘Katholikasabha’

    An editorial in the May issue of Thrissur Archdiocese’s e-magazine ‘Katholikasabha’ lamented that those who make saffron a symbol of intolerance and violence by turning it into a symbol of religious-political ideology are tarnishing the great Arshabharatha culture. The writers are well aware of the fact that this culture treated the vast majority of the people in a completely brutal manner. So why glorify that culture? Because it is their culture too. It is based on the Savarna nature of the Christian denominations in Keralam, which claim the Syriac tradition. That is what draws a section of these denominations to the extreme Brahminism of the Sangha Parivar. So long as they bask in their own Savarna elitism and adhere to the culture of Brahminism, the leaderships of these denominations will not be able to organise resistance against Sanghi attacks on religious minorities, including Christians. Moreover, they will undermine such efforts. The vast majority of Christians in India are poor people from Dalits, Adivasis and intermediate castes. Only Kerala and Goa have a significant number of Savarna Christians. But they control the denominations. To effectively counter Sanghi violence, the vast majority who are at the bottom-most level must get prepared to resist, ignoring the elites rhetoric of restraint. They have to draw their energy from the traditions of anti-Brahmin struggles in this subcontinent, not from the Arshabharatha culture.

    കാവിയെ മതരാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രത്യയശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ ഉടയാടയാക്കി മാറ്റി അസഹിഷ്ണുതയുടെയും അക്രമത്തിന്റെയും കൊടിയടയാളമാക്കുന്നവർ മഹത്തായ ആർഷഭാരത സംസ്കാരത്തെ തേജോവധം ചെയ്യുന്നതായി തൃശൂർ അതിരൂപതയുടെ ഇ-മാസികയായ ‘കത്തോലിക്കാസഭ’യുടെ മെയ് ലക്കത്തിലെ മുഖകുറിപ്പ് പരിതപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ സംസ്കാരം ബഹുഭൂരിപക്ഷം ജനങ്ങളോടും തീർത്തും മൃഗീയമായിട്ടാണ് പെരുമാറിയിരുന്നത് എന്ന വസ്തുത ഇത് എഴുതിയവർക്ക് നല്ലപോലെ അറിയാം. പിന്നെന്തിനാണ് ആ സംസ്കാരത്തെ മഹത്വവൽക്കരിക്കുന്നത്? അത് അവരുടെയും സംസ്കാരമാണ്, അതുകൊണ്ട്. സുറിയാനി പാരമ്പര്യം അവകാശപ്പെടുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ ക്രൈസ്തവസഭകളുടെ സവർണ്ണത്വം ആണ് അതിന് അടിസ്ഥാനം. ഈ സഭകളിലെ ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തെ സംഘപരിവാരത്തിന്റെ തീവ്രബ്രാഹ്മണ്യത്തിലേക്ക് അടുപ്പിക്കുന്നതും അതാണ്. സ്വന്തം സവർണ്ണത്വത്തിൽ ഊറ്റംകൊണ്ട്, ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യത്തിന്റെ സംസ്കാരത്തെ പിൻപറ്റി കഴിയുന്നിടത്തോളം കാലം സഭാനേതൃത്വങ്ങൾക്ക് ക്രൈസ്തവരുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള മതന്യൂനപക്ഷങ്ങൾക്കു നേരെയുള്ള സംഘികളുടെ അക്രമങ്ങൾക്കതിരെ ചെറുത്തുനില്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കാനാവില്ല. മാത്രമല്ല, അവർ അത്തരം ശ്രമങ്ങളെ ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ക്രൈസ്തവരിൽ ബഹുഭൂരിപക്ഷവും ദലിതരും, ആദിവാസികളും, പിന്നാക്ക ജാതികളിൽ നിന്നും വരുന്ന ദരിദ്രരാണ്. കേരളത്തിലും ഗോവയിലും മാത്രമാണ് ഗണ്യമായ തോതിൽ സവർണ്ണ ക്രൈസ്തവരുള്ളത്. പക്ഷെ സഭകളെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത് അവരാണ്. സംഘീആക്രമണത്തെ ഫലപ്രദമായി നേരിടാൻ അടിത്തട്ടിലെ ബഹുഭൂരിപക്ഷം ഇവരുടെ സംയമനപ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൾ വകവയ്ക്കാതെ ചെറുത്തുനില്പിന് ഒരുങ്ങണം. ആർഷസംസ്കാരത്തിൽ നിന്നല്ല, ഈ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലെ ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യവിരുദ്ധ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ പാരമ്പര്യത്തിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് അവർ അതിനുള്ള ഊർജം കണ്ടെത്തേണ്ടത്.
